Magicycle rates the Cruiser Pro at 100 miles per charge on its 52V 20Ah pack, and separately markets it as "100+ Miles Range Per Charge est." The Air Max is rated for up to 121 miles on 921.6 Wh of dual-battery capacity. That is a real gap, but at roughly 1.2× it is the narrowest range gap in this comparison series — the Cruiser Pro's 52V 20Ah pack is a large battery by any standard. Both numbers are manufacturer best-case estimates measured at low assist; real-world mileage will be lower for both bikes. If range alone is your deciding factor, these two are closer than the price difference suggests.
Torque and sensor: two specs that are easy to confuse
These are separate specs and worth keeping separate. These are not the same measurement and should not be subtracted from one another. What can be said fairly: the Cruiser Pro is explicitly built and marketed for heavy total loads, and if you plan to carry a passenger, cargo, or a lot of gear, it is designed for that job and publishes a number to prove it.
Top speed: same 28 mph, but check the box it ships in
Both bikes assist to 28 mph. Magicycle notes on its own product page that the Cruiser Pro's "default speed setting is 20mph" and that it can be set to 28 mph through the display, and classes the bike as Class 2/3.
